Monday 6. March 2023

Natt til mandag kom det rundt 20 cm. Mest snø kom på Langøya. Kraftig vind har dannet ferske fokksnøflak. Noen steder er det avblåst til gammelt snødekke med skare på overflaten. Det gamle snødekket er stort sett smelteomdannet etter mye mildvær forrige uke.

På Hinnøya ble det observert et naturlig utløst flakskred søndag.

Søndag slo det om til kaldere vær. Det fører til at det kan bli stor temperaturgradient mellom den gamle fuktige snøen fra før helgen, og den nye kalde snøen som har lagt seg øverst i snødekket. Det kan føre til dannelse av svake lag av kantkorn og bør følges med på.

8 mm precipitation, up to 15 mm in the most exposed areas. Precipitation as snow. Moderate gale from north, changing to fresh breeze from the northeast during the afternoon. -15 °C to -6 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Tuesday 7. March 2023

Little to no precipitation. Breeze from southeast, changing to fresh breeze from the southeast during renoon. -19 °C to -6 °C at 700 m a.s.l. Partly cloudy.

Det er mulig å løse ut skred der det har lagt seg fokksnøflak de siste dagene. Været roer seg men kaldt vær gjør at stabiliseringen av fokksnøen tar tid, spesielt høyt til fjells.
